The Edmonton Chamber Music Society is welcoming the summer sun with some musical fun this June! With five different concerts to attend, there's something for everyone.

Join Edmonton Chamber Music Society at Mill Creek Café for an engaging evening to kick off the Summer Solstice Festival! Experience the musical talent of Gabrielle Després, violin and Ryan Davis, viola, two of CBC's Hot Under 30s Classical Musicians. Savour Mill Creek Café's delectable food offerings while enjoying the performance. Under his moniker Radia, Ryan's innovative compositions blend classical, folk, electronic, and hip-hop music with a loop pedal, and multiple prize-winner Gabrielle will dazzle you with solo works from Bach to Jessie Montgomery.

Opening the main festival concerts is the Ulysses Quartet former Graduate Quartet-in-Residence at the prestigious Juilliard School, making their Edmonton debut. This talented prize-winning ensemble will present a program combining classic and new works that will showcase their versatility and artistry. A unique opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of chamber music!

Get ready for a memorable evening at Garneau’s Kaffa Roaster and Studio. Indulge in delicious food and drinks and in the delightful sounds of New York’s Ulysses Quartet. Be transported through time and space by an eclectic mix of pieces from Haitian and Malawan composers, Haydn, Fanny Mendelssohn, and the added flair of Danish folksongs.

Experience the captivating lyricism, passion, and drama of works performed by this group of master musicians. From George Walker's emotive Adagio to Frederic Chopin's iconic Ballade No. 4 in F Minor, and works by Glière and Brahms, the program promises to take you on a musical journey.
