Performance Listing
Weasel by: Beth Graham, October 13 - 22, 2022
Presented by Studio Theatre.
Charlie is an actor. Charlie was an actor. Charlie will be an actor again, provided she can cross the swirling abyss, keep from floating away, quiet the voices, and shake those pesky weasels off her back. Weasel is a play about the search for truth, the pursuit of ambition, and the cost of pretending everything is fine.
The Wrong People Have Money by: Reed McColm, October 19 - November 6, 2022
Presented by Shadow Theatre. Popular York University professor Martin Delancey is challenged by a wealthy consortium of investors to conduct a serious study into the feasibility of an “impossible” suggestion he raises in his classroom: Is it possible to move the country of Greenland, in its entirety, south in the Atlantic, thereby bringing the planet a newly habitable land mass? Delancey and his team encounter myriad obstacles in that study, but also increasingly excited worldwide interest, which may just turn a wild idea into a major business opportunity.
The Mousetrap by: Agatha Christie, February 8 - 18, 2023
Presented by Walterdale Theatre. The longest running show on London's West End, come follow the newlywed Ralstons as they host a party to die for!
The Space Between Stars by: Christine Lesiak, March 2 - 12, 2023
Presented by SkirtsAFire Festival. Told with projection, live actors and puppetry, an astronomer’s lecture derails as she encounters the memory of her precocious son. Astronomy, cosmology, and mythology coalesce in this uncommon adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic novella, The Little Prince, intended for adult audiences.
A Hundred Words for Snow by: Tatty Hennessy, April 21 - May 4, 2023
Presented by Northern Light Theatre. Hennessy tells us about being an explorer in a melting world; it’s a coming-of-age story. With polar bears. An epic and undulating story that pitches themes of death and rebirth against a shifting backdrop of climate change, exploration and the uncertain geography of the North.
