This December, Edmonton will dress up in Brazilian colours for a festive celebration of the country's 200 of Independence from Portugal. To mark this special occasion, the Concordia Symphony Orchestra and the Consulate of Brazil in Vancouver will present a performance of Brazilian music led by conductor Danielle Lisboa. The program is a mixture of genres from chorinho, bossa-nova, and samba to chamber and symphonic music infused with a heartbeat of percussion and ginga! Come and find out what ginga is all about! You don't want to miss the show.

Em dezembro, Edmonton vai virar festa verde-amarela! A Concordia Symphony Orchestra com o apoio do Consulado Brasileiro de Vancouver irá apresentar o concerto Ginga: The Brazilian Way em comemoração aos 200 anos da Independência do Brasil. O programa, regido pela maestrina carioca, Danielle Lisboa, contará com a presença de inúmeros artistas convidados em uma mistura de roda de choro, voz e violão, música de câmara, música sinfônica - muita percussão, alegria e ginga! Vamos contar a história do nosso querido Brasil pela sua música e celebrar juntos nesta festa.

Physical tickets will be provided for this event. Please select either Mail or Hold at TIX on the Square under Shipping Information at checkout. The cut-off for mailed tickets will be 11:59PM, November 30! All orders placed on December 1 or later will be able to collect their tickets at the performance.

Paid parking available on-site. ETS routes 53 and 101 are within a 5-minute walk.
