Tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker’s unique voice and approach to the instrument was heard on more than 700 records and influenced every performing saxophonist. Winner of fifteen Grammy Awards, he led his own quartet and was co-leader of the Brecker Brothers, Steps Ahead (with vibraphonist Mike Mainieri), the Pat Metheny-Michael Brecker "Special Quartet", and "Directions in Music", co-led with Herbie Hancock and Roy Hargrove.

Brecker appeared with Chick Corea, Horace Silver, Billy Cobham, Herbie Hancock, Chet Baker, George Benson, Quincy Jones, Charles Mingus, Jaco Pastorius, McCoy Tyner, Dave Brubeck, Elvin Jones, and many more.

Following their outstanding performance at the Yardbird Suite two years ago with Paul McCandless, Charged Particles returns to play Brecker’s music with Bay Area superstar saxophonist Tod Dickow, who captures Brecker’s sound amazingly. The band has performed the music at American jazz clubs including the Blue Note and the famed Baked Potato. The Vallejo Jazz Society called the band’s performance of this music “an electrifying concert.”
