Fabiola Amorim has performed in her native Brazil, the USA, Canada, France and Italy. She holds a Doctorate of Music in viola from the University of Alberta. Ms. Amorim is a founding member of the Vaughan String Quartet.
Nora Bumanis has been Principal Harpist of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra since 1980. In addition to her busy orchestral schedule, Ms. Bumanis is in much demand as a soloist, recording artist and teacher.

Ewald Cheung is a member of the ESO’s first violin section. A graduate of McGill University and The Juilliard School, his teachers have included Daniel Phillips, Jonathan Crow and James Keene. In 2015, he was featured by Jeunesses Musicales Canada in a 34-concert tour and a subsequent recording, ‘A Tribute to Fritz Kreisler’.

Meran Currie-Roberts is known across Canada as a fine cellist, teacher and arts administrator. She joined the ESO in 2018. Meran is Executive Director of the Health Arts Society of Alberta, a registered charity bringing over 300 concerts to elders in care annually.

Robin Doyon was appointed Principal Trumpet of the ESO in 2008. He received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the University of Montreal. Robin has won many awards including the National Music Festival, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Competition and the CBC Young Artists Competition.

Sarah Ho has performed as soloist and ensemble player across North America and Europe. She has performed with orchestras including the ESO, the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. A frequent participant in summer festivals, she has appeared at Schleswig- Holstein in Germany, Harbin Summer Music Festival in China, New York’s Weekend of Chamber Music and The Banff Festival of the Arts. Sarah is a graduate of Indiana University and Yale University where she studied with Menahem Pressler and Claude Frank.

Vladimir Rufino is a Brazilian violinist who holds a Doctor of Music degree from the University of Alberta. He has performed in Brazil, Argentina, USA, Canada, France, Germany and Italy. Edmontonians know him best as first violin of the Vaughan String Quartet.
