Stephanie Simpson is an illustrator, photographer, and occasional filmmaker from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Her illustration work in inspired by the local environment: lots of local flora and fauna, architectural landmarks, and Canadian landscapes! She has worked with amazing clients around Alberta on projects – including maps, murals, and more – focusing on all the province has to offer.
Her photography work spans the gamut – she has documented weddings across North America, photographed families, couples, and clowns (true story!), and even crossed the country to contribute to a multimedia documentary project about lobster fishing in Prince Edward Island.
As a filmmaker, her work is documentary in nature, focusing on environmental and social issues at a local level. In 2016, she wrote, produced and directed an award-winning documentary short This Is Not a Passport Photo.
