Leah Redel believes that the journey through life should be about the experiences gathered along the way, not the final destination.
Her life experiences began growing up on a farm North of Edmonton, Alberta. The images that inspire her are a dedication to the pioneer spirit that once existed. Life’s constant change drives her to depict what was, as she has noticed that the old relics are soon lost and forgotten.
The passion for art started at a young age when she picked up her first charcoal pencil. Through trial and error, her current medium watercolor evolved. The courage to pursue her dream to be an artist came from her aspirations, family, friends and the opportunity to submit a few pieces of artwork to the Art Gallery of Alberta’s “Free for All”, before the Gallery’s renovation.
Leah's goal is that the detailed images she has created will be an inspiration to you, and all who view her work. She hopes that you enjoy her artwork that was created from an image as she saw it, and know that every paint stroke comes from the heart.
