In late November 2013, JJ Wool Company founders Jen and Jan began sewing mittens from recycled wool sweaters as a fundraiser for a once in a lifetime charity bike ride the following year. They reached their goal and then rode 1800kms home to Edmonton from Haida Gwaii, BC with a custom carved totem pole, which you can see on display at the Stollery Children's Hospital. The demand for their mittens and the amount of fun they had creating the little works of art moved them (literally) and after much deliberation, they created the JJ Wool Company!

JJ Wool Company's mittens are made from upcycled wool sweaters: each pair is an original design, and one-of-a-kind, lined with fleece or cashmere for extra warmth.
