Holly Boone was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University with a major in Fine Art Photography although she has been a mixed media artist for many years. She is continuously inspired by animals, nature, colour, and the Universe.
In 2009 she and her husband started their own art studio (Polar Lights Art Studio) in their home in Edmonton with the hopes of showing the public (through social media) what makes them happy - creating art together. They currently sell their artwork online through Facebook, Twitter, Etsy, and their website. Holly also sells her work at the Alberta Craft Council Gallery Shop where she volunteers.
Holly is self-taught in the needle felting craft and has quickly developed into a skilled felter. She has now discovered her true artistic passion. She creates small animal sculptures and dioramas but plans to develop her felting skills further to incorporate these techniques into other creations such as felted pendants, brooches, and landscapes.
