Sandy Bedford is a ceramic artist living in rural Strathcona County in north central Alberta, utilizing stoneware and porcelain clays to express herself in both functional and non-functional forms, thrown, altered and hand built. Much of her work is dedicated to non-functional objects fired in non traditional Raku low firings, which acknowledge our impermanent and serendipitous nature. Her functional work is fired in a mid fired electric kiln. She has been a student of ceramics since 1996.
