  • Category: Jewelry

Erik Lee started making silver jewellery about twelve years ago while living on Vancouver Island. Prior to that he sculpted stone, antler, wood, and worked in many other Cree art forms such as hide tanning, tool making and beadwork. Also trained as a graphic designer, all these creative skills come together in designing his pieces.

Erik specializes in engraved silver, bezel set buffalo horn, moose antler and semi precious stones. Erik's designs incorporate indigenous Plains Cree motifs in a unique contemporary style.

While paying tribute to historical form, Erik strives to innovate and bring new directions to Indigenous design. It is a living art form, just as Indigenous cultures are living and evolving entities. He likes to do his part to further the art, bring it to new audiences and share the gift he has been given.

Erik was recently nominated for the 2021 Alberta Craft Awards.
